Measure Your Main Door Facing
It is important to understand that taking the Facing Direction of a house or building and taking the Facing Direction of the Main Door are two entirely different things.
Not all buildings have their Main Door at the facing side. Some buildings’ main entrances are in the back or on the side in a side alley. Some houses are even entered exclusively through the garage.
Step-by-Step Guide on how to take the Facing Direction of a Door
- Stand about 1 – 2 feet (30 – 60 cm) outside the door, looking (facing) outwards;
- You can use the square base of your Luo Pan to align yourself with the door;
- Align the Cow’s Horn of your Luo Pan with the two dots (North) in the Heaven’s Pool and let the needle settle. This will give you the North-South axis;
- Determine the door’s Facing Direction.
