Feng Shui This!

Many question marks swirl around Feng Shui remedies. 

Where do we activate? 

How? 

When? 

And for how long? 

For beginners, these questions are always a point of uncertainty. Let’s try to settle them once and for all.

First you need to understand why you are activating certain energies and what you want the outcome to be. This means that you have to have a clear objective. Activation for activation’s sake will never work. 

Objective: I need help in my career

If you need help in your career, the energy to activate is the Sun. In 2020, it is located in the Northeast 1/Ox sector. In 2021, it can be found in the Northeast 3/Tiger sector. Each year it will shift, so you will have to get a Date Selection Compendium to track its movement.

The Sun Star is one of the most powerful Auxiliary Stars in Feng Shui and ushers in Noble People. When activating the Sun Star for a particular year, pay attention to the following do’s and don’ts:

• The day you activate the Sun Star cannot clash with the Earthly Branch in your Year Pillar. 
• Ideally, choose a date that combines with your Year Pillar. Then activate the Sun Star for 2 weeks. There’s no need to do it for any longer. 

Have your floorplan ready and determine the centre point.  

Now you can find the “pie slice” where the Sun Star is located this particular year. 

You can activate the Sun Star either inside the flat or, if you have a garden, outside the specific sector. The difference is that if you activate it outside, the opportunities will come to you. If you activate inside the flat, then YOU have to do something in order to attract the opportunity once the Sun Star is activated. 

And the opportunities are offered to you, you need to actually TAKE them, otherwise the activation is for nothing. Even if the opportunity doesn’t look like what you had imagined, still take it, it may be a blessing in disguise. 

This means that once you’ve activated the Sun Star to get help from Noble People, you must do something to get others to help you. The easiest way to do this is by simply asking for help from someone who has the potential to assist you with or in your career. Sometimes, this can mean getting advice from a mentor. 

If you activate the Sun Star in the relevant sector, but outside your house (in the case of landed property), only then will the opportunity or help come TO YOU, rather than you having to look for it. 

The most powerful methods are Water and nailing one nail into the wall. You must crack or chip the wall. You can take the nail out of the wall afterwards, that’s fine. One single nail is enough If you don’t want to use a nail you can also just hammer against the wall – if you’re planning on destroying that wall anyway. 

If you have a good external environment then the activation will last for approx. 3 months. If the external environment is only average then it will maybe last for 1 month. 

Water is also a very powerful activator. But contrary to popular belief you actually need quite a substantial amount of water. The water container must be about 2-3 feet deep and approx. 1 foot in diameter. The shape, colour and material of the water container is irrelevant. 

A pump is needed to keep the water moving. If you have it in your bedroom, you may have difficulty sleeping. So, while sleeping turn off the pump. But if it is outside your bedroom then leave the pump running for 2 weeks. Do not cover the top of the water container. If you cover it, then it is no longer an activation. Water activation will be effective for 1-3 months once you’ve removed the pump/water. You can reactivate at any time if you think you need another boost.

Fire activation is done with real fire – either candles or oil lamps. Again, the colour of the candle or lamp is irrelevant. A salt lamp can be used but it is not as powerful than real fire. Leave the candles burning for 4-6 hours every day for 2-3 weeks. Salt lamps have to be kept lit nonstop.

Fans can be used as well just to keep the Qi moving. Leave the fan on for 6-8 hours every day for at least a month. Move the fan so it faces into your flat but not facing a wall or a corner. The Qi needs to spread and disperse. 

Objective: Attract more business opportunities

This is obviously for business owners and entrepreneurs, freelancers and people who work on a commission basis. 

We focus on the #8 Annual Star. In Period 9, we will focus on the Annual #9 Star. 

If you cannot put your desk there or work there, then just spend about 10-15 minutes per day in this area of your home and think about how you can improve your business and what you can do to plan for the future of your business, strategize and plan.
