Happiness Is an Unexpected Piece of Chocolate
When it comes to Bazi Astrology, one of the first questions most people ask is – can you alter your destiny?
Statistically speaking, there are about 30,000 people in the world who will have the same Bazi Natal Chart you have. Consequently, if your Bazi chart determines your destiny, there should then be 30,000 people who have the identical destiny you have, face exactly the same struggles, challenges, and will end up having the same life as you.
In reality, this does not happen. Two people can have the same Bazi chart but what your life looks like and what you make of it all, depends on your free will choices. It is not the Bazi chart that determines your destiny – it is how you use the chart that is given to you at birth that ultimately determines the trajectory of your life.
Your Bazi chart is like a user manual for your life. (Find a free Bazi Plotter here.)
The question is – are you a good user of your chart? All it takes is AWARENESS – awareness of your skills, talents, strengths, weaknesses, and capabilities. Once you know all this, once you are aware of what you could achieve if you choose to utilize what is given to you, you will become a winner in life.
Your destiny is determined by the things you do or do not do. Over time, your actions and inactions will create certain outcomes in life.
The secret to a great future is YOU. But do you allow yourself to become great? The purpose of Bazi is to help you raise your energy level to give you the boost you need to achieve your goals.
In a Bazi reading, we generally look at 5 forces within ourselves that, when used efficiently and effectively, can help us get to the next level. These 5 forces in Chinese Metaphysics are also called the 5 elements – Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.
Knowing how to use these 5 elements will set you on the path to success and can open opportunities that you had not even been aware of.
In a Bazi chart we need to look at two things – preparation and opportunities.
A person’s Natal Chart will show you what level of preparedness they are born with and what needs to be improved on. The Luck Pillars on the other hand will give you insight into what kind of opportunities lie ahead.
If you are well prepared and maximize the tools that were given to you at birth, it is only a matter of time before the opportunities come. What is even better – you will be able to create the opportunities yourself, rather than passively waiting for their eventual arrival.
On the flip side, if you are unprepared, although opportunities may appear in your life, you may not even be aware of them or may not be able to take advantage of these opportunities.
As you can see, awareness is crucial for us to see and make use of opportunities that come our way.
But that leaves the question:
How do we raise our awareness level?
And more importantly, how can our Bazi chart help us?
Your Day Master is in fact the reference point when we go about answering this question. The Day Master is the Heavenly Stem in the Day
Pillar of your Natal chart:
The Day Master is the starting point for every Bazi reading. It shapes our destiny and calls us to action.
Once you have identified your Day Master, check its elemental affinity. In the example above it is Yin Metal, although the polarity is not of importance for this particular analysis.
The element of our Day Master will tell us what we need to do to raise our level of awareness and motivate us to overcome challenges.
Water Element:
For Water Day Masters, freedom is the key to happiness. Having the freedom to do whatever you want to do will increase your energy level. Freedom is your motivation factor.
Fire Element:
Being an inspiration for others is one of the key motivators for a Fire Day Master. The key to happiness and fulfilment very often lies in being a guiding light for others. Be visible as a positive force in other peoples’ lives.
Metal Element:
For Metal Day Masters, achievement is important. They want to be or feel useful. A Metal Day Master needs to achieve something in order to feel valuable. Regardless of whether this is a personal or professional achievement, as a Metal Day Master you should strive to achieve small wins continuously. Set goals for yourself and go about fulfilling them.
Earth Element:
Confidence is the key to happiness for Earth Day Masters. They crave security and want to live in their comfort zone. They do not embrace change easily. Change for an Earth Day Master is only possible when they have confidence. It is therefore imperative for them to increase their self-confidence. Success is a natural result of their confidence.
Wood Element:
For Wood Day Masters, personal growth and self-development is a driving force and is extremely important. For them, it is essential to keep learning throughout life and acquire new skills or new knowledge.
Once you know how to raise your energy level and you go about working on these aspects, you will automatically become much more attuned to external opportunities. Rather than be afraid to take up a challenge, you will feel energized and motivated enough to take advantage of whatever life throws your way.
Now, raising your energy level is only one part of the equation. There is also a so-called “Happiness Element,” that will help us further increase our vibrational energy.
Happiness is always related to the Fire element. If you have the Fire element anywhere in your Bazi Natal chart – regardless of the Heavenly Stems, Earthly Branches, or the Hidden Stems – you will always be able to talk your way out of sadness. You can overcome sadness and negativity easier than those who do not have this element present in their Natal Chart.
In your quest for happiness, you will have to identify where the Fire element resides in your chart. Is it in the Year Pillar, the Month Pillar, the Day Pillar, or the Hour Pillar?
The Year Pillar and the Month Pillar are considered “external,” while the Day Pillar and the Hour Pillar reflect the “internal”.
In the example above, the Fire element (in this case it is Yang Fire, but it could also be Yin Fire) appears both in the Day Pillar and the Hour Pillar. Since these two pillars represent our internal world, this person will find happiness in self-validation, family, home, their dreams, and aspirations.
If, on the other hand, the Fire element appears in the Year Pillar and/or the Month Pillar, then the source of happiness is more external and a person will likely find happiness in their social network, their work and career.
It can of course appear in the internal and external pillars, in which case there is more than one source of happiness.
If the person in the example above were to try and achieve happiness through their career, he or she would likely always feel like there is a key ingredient missing. Fulfilment would likely be elusive.
What happens if a person does not have the Fire element in their Bazi Natal chart? Does this mean they can never be happy? The answer is of course a resounding “No.” But if will require extra effort.
A person whose Fire element is missing in their Bazi Natal chart will have to re-create this Fire element artificially. Now, what element produces Fire? Wood. Therefore, you will have to perform actions and activities that pertain to the Wood element. It does not matter whether the Wood element actually appears in the Natal chart, what’s important is that we perform the actions that are associated with the Wood element.
Wood represents growth, progress, self-development. Progress often equals happiness.
Commit to becoming a better person every day and your outlook on life will gradually become more positive and optimistic.
