To-Do-List: Make. More. Money.

At some point in your life someone probably told you that you had to work hard to make money. While you definitely can’t just sit around on your coach and wait for money to fall into your lap, the belief that money needs to be earned the hard way is not very useful.

Money is, in fact, everywhere.

What you need to understand is that money is all around you. Money is a form of energy. The more you increase your own energy level, the more money you are going to make simply because you raise the level of affinity with money.

Have a wealthy mindset. That’s the first step to changing your wealth destiny.

In Chinese Metaphysics, we can fall back on several “systems” to help us change our wealth destiny. There is Bazi Astrology, Feng Shui, or Qimen Dunjia. You can use all three in combination or separately, that’s entirely up to you.

Use Bazi Astrology to analyse and understand your capacity, your skills and talents, as well as your weaknesses with respect to wealth. This will give you AWARENESS. It can show you which industries are good for you. (Find a free Bazi Plotter here.)

Once you are aware of what you can do, you need a STRATEGY to execute your plans. This is where Qimen Dunjia comes in.

And finally, you use Feng Shui to help you usher in the opportunities you need to apply your strategies. In fact, Feng Shui can bring in internal, as well as external opportunities. What’s the difference?

Simply put, Feng Shui can help you set your mind towards seeing opportunities. This is an internal process that happens within you. If you are not ready to see opportunities for what they are, you will never be able to apply a strategy that turns these opportunities into wealth.
External opportunities, on the other hand, are those you see and take advantage of once you’ve changed your internal beliefs.

Creating a Wealth Mindset

Creating a wealth mindset starts with creating the right environment in which you become more aware of the opportunities in your life.
The more you expose yourself to good energies, the more aware you become. As with everything related to Feng Shui, it’s all about the concept of proximity.

Where you spend the most time, the energies you surround yourself with, that’s the person you become.

Your Life Palace or Life Gua Sector is a critical factor that shapes your mindset, since the energies present here affect you directly.

Therefore, the first step is to identify your Life Gua sector. You do this by plotting your Bazi Astrology chart. On the upper right of your chart, you will find your Life Star:

In the example above, the Life Star is #7, also called Dui Gua. Now check on the Luo Shu diagram where the original location of your Life Star or Life Gua is:

Dui Gua, or Star #7, originates from the West Palace. This means that the West sector of your home will always be one of the most important sectors for you and your mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Identify this Life Gua Palace on your floorplan in your home:

Your Life Gua sector must always be clean, uncluttered, and free of any negative features either inside or outside. It does not matter whether or not your Life Gua sector covers the kitchen or the toilet, as long as it is an area that is pleasant and clean, with unobstructed Qi flow.

Your Life Gua sector governs your ability to think big. So as long as it is uncluttered and unobstructed, you will have a mindset that can be tuned to attract more wealth opportunities.

If your Life Gua sector is missing from your floorplan, then your ability to remain positive and create an abundance mentality is restricted.

Once you have ensured that your Life Gua sector is not only present, but also positive and free of any clutter or obstructions, you can start working on wealth opportunities.

For this, you will need the annual Flying Stars chart:

Money and wealth are always associated with the Star #8 and #9. Star #8 is more about cashflow, while Star #9 represents more long-term financial opportunities, such as investments.

There is no need to install any type of water feature in these areas. What you need to do is to work in either one of these wealth sectors.

Conduct all your business activities from here, or study here. This will help enhance your wealth mindset and will make you think about ways to make money.

On the off-chance that you can’t use either of these two sectors during a particular year, you can still use your personal Sheng Qi direction to tap into wealth-related energies.

When you work or do any finance or wealth/career-related activity, do so facing this particular Sheng Qi direction to align yourself with a wealth mindset.

Favourability vs. Profitability

This concept relates to the industries you are likely to make money with.

A favourable industry is one in which you feel happy, things work smoothly, you feel fulfilled and things come easy to you. But it is not necessarily profitable.

A profitable industry is one in which you make good money, but it is difficult and you will encounter a lot of challenges and battles along the way.

You need to choose which way you prefer to go.

Then look at your Bazi Astrology chart and check the 5 Structures, which you find at the bottom of the chart. Focus on the light-coloured diagram, as this represents the Natal chart’s distribution of the 5 Structures:

The favourable industries are identified by looking at the weakest structure. Check how strong or weak a structure is in percentage. In the above example, the Companion structure is at 60%. Note that a structure that is at 0% is not present in your chart and can therefore not be used!

If your weakest structure belongs to the Fire element, then Fire industries will be favourable for you. Those are industries you feel an affinity with and that make you feel fulfilled. It is possible to have more than one favourable industry – for example if you have two structures that are equally weak.

When you are looking for the most profitable industry, look at the strongest structure. This is where you can make most money – but it likely won’t make you happy.

Assuming you are a business owner and you discover that you are in the “wrong” industry, don’ worry about changing your career, that’s not necessary. All you need to do is to serve clients and customers from the profitable and/or favourable industries.
